The first Amul organic store in Delhi

The first exclusive Amul organic store opened its doors in Mayur Vihar, Delhi, with a virtual ribbon-cutting by India’s Home and Cooperation Minister, Shri Amit Shah. He praised Amul for its forward-thinking leadership in advancing organic farming and creating goods that meet customer demands for wellness and health. He also mentioned Amul’s involvement in the cooperative industry.

In India, Amul is the biggest food brand. Additionally, it is the biggest cooperative brand, owned by Gujarati farmers, and millions of consumers trust it with their everyday business. The massive dairy company Amul launched Amul Organic Atta in May 2022 to kick off its organic journey. Since then, Amul has introduced a variety of organic products, such as flours, pulses like moong, whole urad, rajma, desi chana, and kabuli chana, and rice varieties including basmati and sonmasuri.

The introduction of Amul into the organic market is a big step in the direction of encouraging organic farming and consumption in India. Additionally, the cooperative has made sure that the prices of organic products are fair, enabling a wider range of people to afford and use them. In May of last year, AmulFed Dairy in Gandhinagar also launched an organic testing lab.

The store will carry a large selection of Amul’s certified organic products, which are made by adhering to the strictest guidelines for organic cultivation and processing. These goods are produced in approved organic facilities, tested in approved organic testing facilities, and acquired from certified organic farmers.

In order to meet the increasing demand for organic products, Amul plans to open 100 more of these special stores in other towns and cities.
