PJMCDT abbreviated as Phulo Jhano Murmu College of Dairy Technology, is located at Hansdiha in the Dumka district. It is 50 km far from the main Dumka city. It is the only dairy college in Jharkhand.
The college is named after the freedom fighters of the Santhal Pargana in Dumka. Phulo & Jhano were the freedom fighters from this region.
The college was inaugurated by the current President Droupadi Murmu in 2017. This college comes under the Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi ( Jharkhand ).

To get admission to this college, the student has to appear for the JCECEB ( Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board ).
The application form for this exam comes out between February and April.

1. By Air
You can reach the college through the airways. First, you have to board a flight from Ranchi to Deoghar. Then, catch a bus from Deoghar bus stand to Hansdiha, the bus will stop at Hansdiha Chowk. After that, take an auto and head towards the college.

2. By Train
Another route to reach college is by railway. The train is the most convenient and cheapest mode of transport. You can get a direct train from Ranchi to Hansdiha, named Godda Intercity-Express ( 18619 ), which will take around 10 hours to reach Hansdiha. The ticket price for this train โ โน 275 & for tatkal โ โน 375.
From Hansdiha station, you will get many autos for college & the fare is โน 20/person.
3. By Bus
You can reach here by roadways. The fare of the bus is double the price of the railway. You can get buses from different routes โ

4. Internships
There are 2 internships in the four-year B.Tech. course, one internship is for 1 month, held after the completion of 4th semester. Another internship is for 6 months, held after the completion of the 7th semester.

Many students from this college are placed at different dairies such as Medha ( Sarath ), Sudha ( Jamshedpur ), Sudha ( Ranchi ), Gyan Dairy ( Lucknow ), Mother Dairy etc.
The rest of the students are pursuing higher education at NDRI Karnal, NDRI Bengaluru, Banaras Hindu University, etc.
In 2022, students of this college cracked the ICAR Exam with flying colours, they were under the top 20 rank scorers.
